Bachelorette Excitement!!

So I'm so excited to be able to go to Charleston for my Bachelorette weekend.  It is always one of my most favorite places to go and be.  I am just so happy and excited that I get to spend "my" weekend with some super impressive ladies in such an amazing wonderful place.  Although some of my girlfriends and I went to Charleston last year, we are getting a beach house in the beautiful Isle of Palms.  Here is a picture of the front of the house!

It is such a gorgeous house and it even has the palmetto tree in the banisters, I just absolutely love the southern charm of the outside and of course huge porch to sit out in the evening.  Here is a little snapshot of the back of the property.

I am looking forward to drinks by this pool for the weekend, after we have been able to lay out by the beach.  After the week I'd had, this being booked completely made it seem like there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  Although I have the best bridesmaids ever who are not allowing me to know any part of this wedding process, it was nice that they let me in on this, because every time I think of the house, my girlfriends and a weekend all to ourselves I just have this huge smile on my face that does not dissipate!  I hope everybody has a wonderful weekend, and thanks for listening to my wedding weekend post!

Death has its way

Today I have had such a heavy heart, tomorrow marks a day of sorrow for my family. My grandmother lost her husband last week and tomorrow is the day we must put his soul to rest.  My grandmother has been in and out of hospital, nursing homes and this and that hospital in the past month for her own illnesses and now to have to bury her husband my heart is completely filled for her.   I have prayed all evening for the right words to say tomorrow as my grandmother does not live close, and I do not get to see her often.  I have been worrying about having Mason at the funeral since he, himself has only met him a couple times.  I am truly saddened by this whole experience and sometimes don't know what to say at all except to smile and continue about my business.

However, I found this quote this evening and thought on it over and over.

I thought for sure I would have more time, since the last time I saw when I stayed a night or so last spring with both of them.  I always wanted to stay longer or return again soon, but this and that always seemed to prevent me from doing so, and now I truly regret it.  I  think that there is nothing that can be done now, but I can make an effort to do a better job to try and stay in close contact to those who mean so much to me, and that I know my life would truly change if I did not have them in my life anymore.

Sorry so somber tonight, but just needed to voice it all out!  Pray for me to find my words and understand what I am suppose to do in such a circumstance, as I pray for peace for my grandmother.

Book Swap

YAY!  I am on here!  Whew....What a week, things that occurred last week will make this week super busy!  This week I will be attending my grandfather's funeral and going down to North Carolina to visit with my brother and watch him marry his beautiful fiance, Tasha.  So on top of 2 meetings this week and parent/teacher conferences I think it is going to be rather packed this week.

However, I am super excited that I received in the mail a very nice envelope, which held the following contents!!

I am already loving what the Forgotten Garden has to offer and even my students LOVE LOVE LOVE the cupcake bookmarks!

I was so lucky to link up with Logan from
