Wedding Update

So here is the OVERVIEW...

I got engaged September 28th, and everything started to just kind of CRASH down...but in a GREAT WAY!  Soon after we got engaged we contacted a wonderful travel agent, Bill Lyons, with B & B Travel.  we decided on a destination wedding!  BEST CHOICE EVER!! Here is our location:
We are getting married in Jamaica!  Riu Montego Bay is our resort and I cannot wait for June to arrive!  I actually do not have a lot to do, which is excellent!  Our wedding planning process has been a very smooth process so far and I am so very thankful!  I was able to design my own Wedding Invitations,
They were so much fun, and I think they capture the ideal of the wedding completely.  Here is another view of the invitation holder:
Then this past weekend I hit the jackpot!  I could not believe how easy this was for me!  I purchased my Wedding Dress on Friday, December 28th, 2012 at Silk Bridal Salon!  I purchased a Judd Waddell gown, here is his website and a look at what I might walk down the aisle in!  http://juddwaddell.com/collection.html

Well hopefully my luck keeps going my way!  Thanks for reading!

Card Organizer

So I have been cleaning and clean and well some more cleaning...trying to get my craft room in working order since I returned from the

(Great American Scrapbook Convention) in Chantilly, Virginia.  So anyways when I was going through my room, since I seem to do a little crafting here and there of everything, I also noticed how many cards I just had laying around.  I had a stack about 2 feet tall of cards that had no place to go, to place to call home.  So I figured I better change that.  So I thought I could just go to Hallmark and find a quick Card Organizer that would suffice and be sufficient to hold all my cards, not the case.  I looked online, and they were all UGLY...finally I looked online at Pinterest and found a little inspiration.  I went to Wal-mart and found a regular storage box.
Yes - this was not going to do either.  I popped off that silver piece and started to go to town with a paper pack from DCWV - Nana's Kitchen.  I also put my Silhouette to good use as well by making the dividers and the anything else I put on the dividers for my cards.  The font I used for the headings is Janda Fabulous.  Here are some pictures of my finished product!

4th of July

4th of July is suppose to be a time where you surround yourself with friends, family and good food.  Well, I seemed to get it right in some of those areas, but not all.  It was a rough holiday as the first holiday where my parents were separated.  It always seemed like something was missing.  I am however blessed with my wonderful son who fortunately has been with me every holiday of his life... :) and I had my brother here with me from North Carolina.  I am also happy to spend yet another holiday with my boyfriend, Bobby.  So here is a picture to leave on.
This is my brother, William and I.  He surely makes some goofy faces, but I still love him. Hopefully holidays will become easier as time goes on.

Father's Day Craft

Who knows how and should you are suppose to act when you are not with your child's father.  I want my son to grow up in a loving and wonderfully compassionate so I will try and foster that in any way possible.  So when he brought home his "father's day" craft that he made at school he said that it was for Bobby, my boyfriend.  I could however, tell that something was wrong.  I poked and prodded for a moment, asking him what was the matter.  He said well I guess I still would like to have something to give my dad for Father's Day.  OK.  So kicked creative juices in gear, I had a canvas already handy and of course I already have a cabinet stocked full of paint.  All I needed to do was cut the words DAD from my Silhouette.  Which I did using Contact paper, love that stuff and it's so very cheap (amazing -rather than vinyl).  So here is what we did...
dab Dab DAB
 Finished Project!!
So this is what we ended up with.  Not too shabby for something we ended up with after only having 2 hours to complete!  Maybe next year I'll remember that my baby does have an extremely LARGE heart!
